The internet as a sales tool
The internet is the single most powerful sales and marketing tool available on the planet today. Most people looking for products and services will use the internet to source and research items and services, compare prices, and find convenient locations offering the best value.
In fact, the internet provides consumers and businesses with the ability to purchase almost anything imaginable without ever leaving the comfort of their home or office. Purchases can be made using a credit card, PayPal account, and in some instances even your debit card. Using the internet, people can shop, compare prices and arrange for delivery in a matter of minutes. It’s just that easy!
The internet is the modern day equivalent of the Yellow Pages, only today, your fingers walk across a keyboard instead of through the pages of a phone book. (And yes…that too is available online!)
The internet allows you to source products, services and suppliers on a global scale giving you a greater bang for your buck. It also allows you to market your products and services on a global scale which can dramatically increase your bottom line. By monitoring your competitors pricing, sales, product lines and innovations, you can place yourself on the leading edge of sales and service.
If your business does not have a presence on the internet in the form of a website, facebook page, or online directory that advertises your products, services, prices, warranties, added value, etc. then without question, you are losing business to local competitors who have their products and services marketed on the web.
In very real terms, if you do not have a web presence for your business, then you are practically invisible to your potential new customers.
